At ConFusion This Weekend!

Thursday, January 15th, 2015

This weekend I’m at ConFusion in Detroit again, with my Odyssey pals Michael J. DeLuca, Jason Ridler, and Justin Howe.

We’re all on a handful of panels, and otherwise certain to be found on that raised dais area in the middle of the hotel lobby, likely in great cheer from libations smuggled in under the table.  Feel free to say hello!

At World Fantasy This Weekend

Saturday, November 1st, 2014

I’m at World Fantasy this weekend, in my locale of Washington DC.

And Thursday of the con is International Stout Day!  (For reals!)  Because I’m local, I can drive to the con and therefore bring beer. And because I’m me, I currently have 24 different stouts in my cellars.

So come to World Fantasy, to hear the interesting panel on medieval technology in fantasy that I’m on with Elaine Isaak aka E.C. Abrose. And celebrate International Stout Day! Cheers!

At Capclave This Weekend

Wednesday, October 8th, 2014

This weekend, I will be at Capclave, the annual Washington D.C.-area F/SF con (where reading is not extinct!). I’m on three panels, all dealing with short fiction, magazines, or their podcasts:

  • Friday 5:00 pm: Small Press Publishing (including Neil Clarke, Danielle Ackley-Mcphail, Sean Wallace, Ian Randal Strock, Shahid Mahmud)
  • Friday 6:00 pm: From Pod to Page (including Patrick Scaffido)
  • Saturday 5:00 pm: Best Short Fiction of 2014 (including Sarah Pinsker, Norm Sherman, A.C. Wise)

Feel free to say hello if you see me in the halls, or the hall of bar.

At Detcon/NASFIC This Weekend

Thursday, July 17th, 2014

This weekend I’m at Detcon1 / NASFIC in downtown Detroit!

I’m on four panels Saturday, including certain-to-be-scintillating discussion of F/SF zines with Neil Clarke and Leah Bobet, F/SF in heavy metal, and F/SF & beer with Michael J DeLuca. Topics all near and dear to me. Come listen to me blather, in panels or in the bar, and feel free to say hello!
